CROSSOVER & JAZZ PIANO LESSONS @ Accademia Aida (Rome)
Luca R. Jacovella
The piano crossover course is an innovative artistic-professional-educational synthesis. It is aimed at classical pianists, young jazz pianists who do not have a lengthy classical academy preparation, and at the many already active semi-professional pianists.
The learning centers on those simple, foundational, and creative aspects that are not often included and valued in formal instrumental learning.
The course teaches versatility and interdisciplinarity between musical types and identities. It includes the preparation necessary for crossover work engagements - which are ever more common for today's pianist. There will also be an orientation on regulations and Italian legislation regarding performances: Siae, Enpals, freelance and subordinate work, tax regimes and terminology.

The measurements for grand pianos range from 150 cm to 227 cm in length. Maximum width is 157 cm. The overall dimensions should also include approximately 120 cm for the stool.
In current terminology, "grand piano" refers to an entire range of which, more specifically, is the "boudoir grand" or smaller "baby grand", and the "vertical piano" the typical studio wall piano.
The "concert grand" is a grand piano for concerts. Some antique music formations (instrument ensembles for baroque and antique music) use the "harpsichord" or "spinet" (instruments preceding the grand piano with a similar form, but with very different sound, colors and materials).
We also offer consultation services for the purchase and positioning of pianos in halls or areas set up for musical performances.

For those who have problems of space, J Music srl suggests the purchase or rental of a digital piano with very little tail, the Gran Touch Yamaha.
Aside from having all of the advantages of a digital instrument, these pianos have keyboards characterized by the response and mechanics of a real piano as well as with the acoustics of a grand concert piano.
